Podcast review: Ragnatalk

What is it:
Chuck and Anthony: Ragnatalk, http://ragnatalk.com/

Chuck Wendig and Anthony Carboni talk about Thor: Ragnarok. Sometimes they invite guests. Every Episode focuses on 10 Minutes of the film. The tone is gushing and comedic.

Can I recommend it: Yes

Why is it good?
This podcast is genuine fun, but more serious ideas are there as well, much like the film it is about. The hosts know what they are talking about and their love for Thor: Ragnarok shines through at every turn. Since the episodes are always about an hour long there is enough time for off-topic ramblings and running jokes that are usually amusing. I listened to most of the podcast on my commute and sometimes weirded out the other people on the bus with my laughter. There is no greater praise for funny podcasts.

Are there any downsides?
Only one of the guests is a woman, so there are almost exclusively male voices. The enthusiasm is sometimes a bit shouty, and some of the running jokes overstay their welcome.

Conclusion
Not as good as the film,* but still a very entertaining podcast with a lot of heart, enthusiasm and fun. Obviously there are spoilers for every aspect of the film.

Best episode:
Episode 8: Bisexuality is a cape ( with Trin Garritano). It covers minutes 70-80.
This episode not only has a female voice, it also focuses on my future wife, the incomparable Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.

*But that's a very high bar indeed.
